Trump Threatens Lawsuit Over Epstein Letter Allegations, Demands Full Disclosure
In a stunning escalation, former President Donald Trump has vowed to sue The Wall Street Journal, its parent company NewsCorp, and media mogul Rupert Murdoch after the paper published a sensational article alleging Trump sent a questionable birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003.
The article claims the letter included a nude sketch of a woman, with Trump’s signature scrawled across her intimate area, and ended with the line: “Happy Birthday, and may every day be another wonderful secret.” The sketch, the signature, and the sentiment ignited a media firestorm in Washington and beyond.
Trump has categorically denied the letter’s authenticity.
“This article is a complete fabrication,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The editor of The Wall Street Journal was told directly by my spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt and by me that the letter is FALSE. Yet they ran it anyway. This is defamation, and we are suing.”
He also emphasized that lawsuits are imminent. “President Trump will soon sue The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Rupert Murdoch. The press must learn to tell the truth.”
A Letter, a Sketch, and a Scandal
According to the Journal, the letter was uncovered in a collection of Epstein’s personal correspondence during a probe into his 50th birthday celebrations. The envelope, allegedly signed by Trump, has not been independently verified. Trump’s team has dismissed the entire story as politically motivated slander.
While the article raises serious questions, critics argue it leans more on shock value than hard evidence. Still, the timing and nature of the release have reignited scrutiny of Trump’s past association with Epstein—a connection that, while well-known, remains shrouded in ambiguity.
Trump Pushes Back — Hard
In a bold countermove, Trump is demanding transparency from the justice system. On the same day the article dropped, he called on Attorney General Pam Bondi to release sealed grand jury transcripts related to the Epstein case—if the court allows it.
“The public deserves to know the truth,” Trump stated. “Not only about this fabricated letter, but about everything else hidden behind Epstein’s dark web of secrets.”
This demand echoes long-standing public pressure to reveal more about Epstein’s network, which included high-profile names from business, politics, and entertainment.
Epstein’s Death and the Conspiracies It Spawned
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 under suspicious circumstances while facing charges of trafficking underage girls to elite clients. Officially ruled a suicide, his death spawned a thousand conspiracy theories—many pushed by both right- and left-wing figures.
Most recently, the Department of Justice and the FBI reiterated that there is no evidence of a “client list” or a plot to assassinate Epstein. They have officially closed the investigation.
That hasn’t stopped social media and alternative news outlets from speculating, particularly after leaks, testimonies, and unusual coincidences surrounding Epstein’s prison conditions came to light.
A Legal Showdown or a Political Diversion?
Critics suggest Trump’s aggressive stance may be part of a broader strategy to distance himself from lingering Epstein-related speculation. Supporters argue he’s finally fighting back against a media machine determined to destroy his reputation.
Whether this ends in a courtroom or fizzles in the news cycle remains to be seen. One thing is certain: when sex, secrets, and power collide at the highest levels, the public rarely gets the full truth—just pieces of a much darker puzzle.
