Melania Trump Threatens $1 Billion Lawsuit Over Hunter Biden’s “False” Epstein Claims
Melania Trump is gearing up for a legal battle that could cost Hunter Biden more than just political embarrassment — it could cost him $1 billion.
According to her attorney, Felipe J. Brito, the First Lady has issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding Biden retract and publicly apologize for statements he made in a video linking her to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The allegations trace back to journalist Michael Wolff and were published in The Daily Beast — a story Melania’s legal team calls “false and defamatory.”
The Daily Beast has since deleted the article entirely and issued a public apology to Mrs. Trump. But Brito says Biden doubled down, repeating Wolff’s disputed claims in his video, allegedly with “actual malice” to draw attention to himself.
In his letter, Brito accused Biden of leaning on a “serial fabulist” for the explosive allegations and warned that he had “no viable defense” for the damage caused to Melania’s reputation. Biden was given until August 7, 2025, to delete the video, issue a retraction, and apologize.
He didn’t.
Instead, a source told Fox News Digital that Biden’s team leaked the letter to a “friendly reporter,” suggesting they might be bracing for legal fallout.
Melania’s lawyers say they are now prepared to file suit for over $1 billion in damages. The dispute comes after The Daily Beast pulled Wolff’s story, which claimed Melania first met Donald Trump through a modeling agent tied to Epstein — a claim her team insists is entirely untrue.
With neither side showing signs of backing down, the fight could soon shift from the headlines to the courtroom — and if Melania follows through, it could become one of the most high-profile defamation battles in recent political history.
